Fall Softball League

Registration is closed for the Fall 2024 Season.
Spring Registration will begin in November.

Fall 2024 Important Dates

  • Practices begin the week of August 19
  • First games will be on the weekend of September 6
  • Last weekend of games to be held the weekend of November 16
  • Single Elimination Tournament for Rookies, Juniors, Minors and Majors will take place the weekend of Nov 22 - 24.

Our Fall league is open to all girls entering 1st – 9th grades. Our Fall league is more of an instructional league; teams do not report scores and there are no standings. Fall league typically runs from late August through mid-November. Games are typically played on Friday and Saturday nights - although may be played on Sunday late afternoon/evenings depending on field availability.

FALL BALL GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Registration generally June - August
  • Practices typically begin August through the end of the season
  • Games are typically held September - November on Fridays or Saturdays, although we may have occasional games during the week or on Sunday late afternoon / evenings depending on field availability.
  • Instructional is only 1st - 2nd grade in the Fall (no Kindergarten).
  • Mini-3s Division receives Coach-Pitching throughout the season (developmental of pitching begins in the Spring).
  • Rookies, Juniors, Minors, and Majors Divisions are focused more on skill development and less on competitiveness in the Fall.

  • Mini-3s (3rd Grade)
  • Rookies (4th Grade)
  • Juniors (5th Grade)
  • Minors (6th Grade)
  • Majors (7th, 8th, and 9th Grades)

Games and Practices

Practices are generally any day from Monday to Thursday, and is ultimately up to your coach. Games are usually on Fridays and Saturdays, but those days may change due to rain-outs and field availability provided by the city of Scottsdale.  SMS makes every effort to keep schedules and locations as planned at the beginning of the season; however that is not always possible.
